Progress Update - April 2017

Tokyo Basketball Training Center

Thanks to all of you for sharing our dream to create a Basketball Training Center in the Tokyo Bay Area. Your advice and suggestions have been considered carefully and we are well on the way to making this project a reality. We continue to work on selecting a location, building design, sponsorships and the program contents together with a few key partners in this venture. We owe special thanks to various real estate and construction companies in Japan and North America for assisting us. We are very encouraged by our progress, and the enthusiasm shown by so many people and organizations. Our goal is to have the center built and open by the end of 2018.

We are happy to announce that we now have a simple website, please check them out at www.aretejapan.net, and on Facebook, @aretejapan or Instagram @aretejapan Shortly, we will be announcing an opportunity for all of you to be a direct part of this venture through the crowdfunding website Makuake and Kickstarter. A small financial contribution will make you a part of our extended team and demonstrate the huge interest in us creating this center. Thank you in advance for your support and please Like our Facebook page to stay in the loop.

We want to especially thank Clyde Drexler, who has been a huge inspiration to this project, and is helping us move forward in various ways. We hope to invite him to Japan soon to help us celebrate our groundbreaking!

Thank you and stay tuned for more updates…
